Clever Alice
There's a particular kind of New Yorker who doesn't shop trends — she finds them first, usually on a Tuesday, usually by accident, on a street in Nolita she's walked a hundred times. Clever Alice is built for her.
We're a sample sale and curated fashion shop with two doors — one on Prince Street, one on Christopher Street — and a simple belief: the best pieces in this city aren't always the most expensive ones. They're the ones with a story. A French label's overstock. A small-batch Seoul designer nobody's heard of yet. A suede bag that didn't need a marketing budget to be good.
So that's what we sell. Designer sample sales at real prices. Private label essentials made for the way you actually get dressed. The occasional find from Paris or Seoul that we couldn't bring home.
How We Shop, So You Don't Have To
We're not chasing every trend — we're translating the ones worth wearing. That means a rack that mixes a hard-won vintage-feeling denim with this season's tailoring, and a point of view that's more "what would actually look good walking down Prince Street" than "what's on the runway this week."
Every piece earns its place on the floor. We care about fabric, fit, and whether something will still feel right in two years — not just two weeks.
